High School Hikes
This program was born out of a great need to reconnect young people with nature. This connection plays a significant role in increasing student's abilities to focus, decompress and to build a stronger, more confident idea of self. Inspired by Richard Louv's book, Last Child in the Woods, this program will consist of at least two trips per year to various national parks, state parks and/or national forests for 4 days of hiking, writing, talking, reflecting and renewing the spirit. For more information, or to learn about the upcoming trip, please contact us via email.
Rapid Learners
This program is for highly committed middle school students. RapidLearners runs on a quarterly basis, every third Saturday. The curriculum is set up around a theme which will include reading, writing and discussion assignments. The students are pressed to expand their ordinary perspectives into extraordinary devices for learning by covering ideas of morality, heroism, love, loss and more. This is mostly a discussion-based course that utilizes advanced materials and self-discipline as mechanisms for learning.
